Everyone might imagine walking in the sky as a child. How about really doing what it is only imagined? This is to walk in ‘Skywalk.’ See the beautiful view on a dizzy skybridge with a wide look at your feet through the transparent glass floor! Let me introduce five skywalk attractions all over the country that are emerging best photography spots because the harmony with the nature is so amazing.
The longest bridge in Korea! 174m of Skywalk
Chuncheon, Gangwon ‘Soyanggang Skywalk’
It takes 1 hour from Seoul to Chuncheon by Gyeongchun Line. If you are looking for neighboring travel destinations, Chuncheon Soyanggang Skywalk is good to go and return in one day and has the longest length in Korea. This walk has the 156m transparent glass floor of the overall length, 174m. In spite of the 4cm-thick glass floor made of three pieces of special tempered glass, as soon as you take a step visibly under your feet, you might be very thrilled.
While you are walking along the still wave of Soyanggang under the glass floor, you will reach a large round square that is considered as a photography spot of this place. There are observation platforms in both sides of the square. Thus, it is good to see the beautiful view of Soyanggang as well as Ssogari Statue that symbolizes the river.
This is the Korean tour attraction that is good for you to visit after sunset because it looks more romantic when colorful lights are on after the sunsets.

Gateway of Busan Port as Port City
Busan ‘Oryukdo Skywalk’
A horse’s hoof-shaped U-type observation platform of 9m in length and 37m in height is constructed in Busan, ‘Oryukdo Skywalk’ located in a boundary point of the East Sea and Southern sea. Even though this is not very long, it is located at the end of a giddy cliff. Therefore, the cliff-hitting wave under the glass floor leads you to hurry your steps.
As a movie <Haeundae> filming site, ‘Oryukdo Skywalk’ has a vast spread of sea like a Korean port city. If you would like to see a horizontal line of a boundless ocean, you need to visit here. When the weather is so nice, you can see Tsushima Island of Japan. Thus, it is a great tourism attraction for the summer without any fine dust.
You need to wait for entrance for about 15 minutes when it is crowded because it limits the number of visitors up to 120 people at a one-time due to safety considerations. Please note that you can’t bring a climbing stick or umbrella to prevent the glass floor breakage.
Address: 936-941, Yongho-ro 197beon-gil, Nam-gu, Busan, Republic of Korea
Operating Hours: 09:00~18:00 / 12:00~18:00 during Chuseok and Korean New Year’s Day

Let’s enjoy an extreme straw wire!
Danyang, Chungbuk ‘Mancheonha Skywalk’
The common skywalk is not interesting! If you would like to enjoy extreme activities, it is highly recommended to visit to Danyang ‘Mancheonha Skywalk.’ This is one of the Korean tourism attractions considered as a tour course of Danyang with the beautiful view of Danyang at a glance. If you take a skywalk-only bus up, you can reach a revolving tower. It is a gentle deck street for anyone to be able to easily climb up.
If you want to feel thrilled with every fiber of your body, let’s take a straw wire along the wind at a speed of 50km/h from in the sky at 120m instead of getting on the skywalk-only bus when you are going down. You might feel very well with a fair view.
You might be stuck in a traffic jam and miss the entrance of this skywalk because there is only one-way traffic in the skywalk. As for the straw wire activity, it is so popular that it might be sold out earlier. Thus, it is highly recommended to visit here early in the morning or take enough time to go there.

As the Korea’s first 3D observation platform and called as Grand Canyon of Korea, ‘Byeongbangchi Skywalk’ is located in Jeongson, Gangwon. When you turn away your eyes from the extrudate-shaped skywalk located at the end of a cliff at an altitude of 583 meters, you will reach the cliff under your feet and be thrilled by the course of a raging river.
‘Byeongbangchi Skywalk,’ which gained more popularity after it appeared on the episode of Jeongson, Gangwon-do of a Korean popular reality and travel show, <1 Night 2Days>, has beautiful Korean Peninsula-shaped Bam Island with Donggang River. This island is the core viewing point and photography zone as well. Let’s see gorgeous mountaintops from Byeongbangchi Skywalk and feel as if you were walking above the clouds.

Changwon, Gyeongnam, ‘Jeodo Yeonryukdo Skywalk’
‘‘Jeodo Yeonryukdo Bridge’ located in Changwon, Gyeongnam is called as ‘Bridge of Kwai River.’ There is ‘Jeodo Yeonryukdo Skywalk’ where you can look down the dazzling view of the ocean at 13.5m. Fully traversing the ocean first in Korea, this skywalk was made by remodeling a bridge between an island and land and opened in March, 2017. This is the emerging Korean popular tourism attraction 880,000 people have visited after a year of operations.
Due to LED lighting on tempered glass on the floor, the view looks very mysterious and romantic at night. Also, various media presentations catch eyes of visitors.
